STS Technical Services is hiring experienced Aircraft Structures Technicians to support heavy commercial aircraft maintenance operations in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Position Summary

The Aircraft Structures Technician is responsible for performing structural inspections, repairs, and modification activities in accordance with FAA approved technical data, manufacturer manuals, and company procedures. This role plays a critical part in ensuring aircraft safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance while supporting efficient maintenance operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of aircraft sheet metal structures and components
  • Utilize FAA approved technical data including IPC, AMM, OHM, and SRM manuals to execute maintenance and structural repairs with precision
  • Troubleshoot structural discrepancies and determine appropriate corrective actions
  • Complete structural modifications and corrosion control repairs as required
  • Remove and install aircraft components while adhering to technical manuals and regulatory standards
  • Document maintenance actions accurately in compliance with company and FAA requirements
  • Collaborate with cross functional maintenance teams to ensure timely, high quality aircraft turnaround
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental, and quality procedures

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 plus years of heavy commercial aircraft structures experience
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Boeing 737, 747, 757, 767, 777; MD 88 and 90; DC 9; and Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft types and associated engines
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft structural systems, repair methods, and inspection procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and maintenance documentation
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification
  • Aviation technical training, sheet metal program completion, or equivalent military experience
  • Prior experience in a high volume airline or MRO environment
