What to Expect Tesla's Supplier Industrialization teamis responsible forcriticalcomponentdevelopment and qualification activities atsuppliers.Thisrole will develop, qualify, scaleupandoptimize manufacturing and quality system procedures for Battery cell manufacturing. In this role, you will work closely with many organizations both internal and external to Tesla, taking new batterycelldesigns frominitialconceptto massproductionand sustaining. The battery cell is a criticalcomponentin Tesla vehicles andenergystorage systems. This role will have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to our products. The work environment is demanding, fast-pacedand incredibly exciting. The ideal candidate should be ready to push their limits, as they joinahighly motivated and capable team to make unbelievable things into reality. What You'll Do Develop,qualify, and oversee battery cell manufacturing process end to end (fromupstream mixing &electrode manufacturing todownstream finishedgood cell testing and shipping) Drive the production ramp and solve bottlenecks with the suppliers to ensuretimely& adequate delivery toTesla factories to support the build plan Responsible fordriving TQP (Tesla Qualification Process)for production launch readiness &ensureproducts from manufacturing linesmeet cell designrequirements Understand the measurement system and validatemeasurement system performance at the suppliers Leads FAs and implement CAs for battery cell inline, OQC, performance and next customer IQC failures Participate in supplier DFM reviews & guide suppliers in efficient use of poke-yokes, best methods of manufacturing, testing, and gauging and correct tools or assembly equipment to use Accountable for supplier audits to ensure theirlinesmeet performance,quality, anddeliveryexpectations Validate supplier corrective actions involving design and/or process changes to ensure they are robust, sustainable, and implemented for similar potential concerns across manufacturing lines and/or suppliers What You'll Bring Degree in Chemical Engineering,Material Science,Mechanicalor equivalent experience Demonstratedexperience in at least two out of the threeareas:cell manufacturing processes,cellquality inspection, production& OEE improvement Experience inmanufacturing documents (control plan, PFMEA, MSOP) and reviewing capability analysis (Cp/Cpk, MSA) Excellent team building skills in dealing with suppliers, peers, andcrossfunctionalteams Strong technical writing ability to explain complex issues in a concise and plain manner Ability to travelat short notice domestically & international up to25% Experience in high volume manufacturing is highlypreferred Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program
