Join USfalcon and lead a mission-critical program supporting the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) and USSTRATCOM. The Senior Consultant, Executive Strategic Advisor serves as the senior leader responsible for the overall execution, performance, and success of Advisory & Assistance Services (A&AS) supporting Business, Engineering, and Cybersecurity functions across complex IT and mission programs. This role operates in a classified, fast-paced environment and serves as the primary interface with government stakeholders across high-visibility programs.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Consultant, Executive Strategic Advisor will serve as the primary strategic advisor to the AFNWC/NCC Director and the Program Chief Engineer. This role requires an individual with an unparalleled historical perspective and technical depth in nuclear command and control systems. This position will bridge the gap between complex engineering requirements and executive-level decision-making, ensuring that the software acquisition pathways and hardware sustainment strategies are financially viable and technically sound.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:



  • Conduct budget-planning exercises and assist in tracking and predicting hardware and software support costs across enterprise programs.
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership, including AFNWC/NCC Director, PM, FM, and Chief Engineer, on modernization efforts, cost implications, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Mentor SMEs and program managers to strengthen technical and programmatic capabilities across IPTs.
  • Support senior leadership engagements, including preparation of decision papers, technical briefings, and program reviews.
  • Advise on engineering standards compliance, including USSTRATCOM and NCC Systems Engineering Management Plans and Technical Profiles.
  • Assist in planning and design of systems architecture, assessing technical and architectural changes for enterprise impact.
  • Provide recommendations on process improvements, cost optimization, and sustainment strategies for hardware/software systems.
  • Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), Program Management Reviews (PMRs), and other governance forums, delivering expert-level assessments and recommendations.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • 35+ years of experience in systems engineering, program management, and strategic advisory roles within DoD or similar environments: 8 years supporting the AFNWC/NCC
  • Proven track record in budget planning, cost analysis, and lifecycle sustainment for hardware and software systems.
  • Extensive experience engaging with senior leadership and providing actionable recommendations for enterprise-level decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor SMEs and program managers, fostering technical excellence and leadership development.
  • Strong understanding of DoD acquisition processes, JCIDS documentation, and Software Acquisition Pathway requirements.
  • Exceptional communication skills for high-level briefings and written deliverables


EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor's degree in related field

REQUIRED CLEARANCE: Top Secret w/SCI eligibility

TRAVEL: TBD anticipating less than 20%
