CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a GIS Technician II to join our Geospatial Team at a client site in the Orlando, FL area. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your growing expertise to produce high quality maps, perform intermediate spatial analysis, and strengthen data integrity.



What You'll Do:

    Perform data gathering, data conversion, and intermediate level spatial analysis using Esri and related GIS platforms, ensuring all outputs meet accuracy and quality standards
  • Conduct QA/QC reviews and prepare datasets for processing while maintaining detailed, organized project workflows
  • Manage intermediate level database, geodatabase, and metadata tasks to support project needs
  • Create intermediate level cartographic maps that clearly communicate project findings and requirements
  • Provide technical guidance and feedback to junior team members to support project efficiency


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS certificate, or related degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant GIS experience required
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office and ESRI ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro software
  • Knowledge of geographically referenced data required (projections, datums, map scales, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Intrepid software or similar third party applications as well as industry specific data sets
  • Basic industry database knowledge (e.g., PODS, UPDM)
  • Proficiency with data conversion and spatial data tasks
  • Experience with Cartegraph or other Utility Asset Management Software is a plus
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Smallworld, MapInfo, or Google Earth is a plus
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multi tasking skills
  • Ability to balance attention to detail with broader project goals while maintaining a high degree of efficiency, accuracy, and quality

Salary Range:

$26.44 - $28.84

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
