Schenck USA has an exciting opportunity for a 3rd year or later engineering student working toward their Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Technology! We are offering a paid Test Floor Internship during the summer of 2026. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to balancing machine testing and programming instrumentation. The Test Floor Intern will report directly to the Assembly & Testing Manager.

As the Test Floor Intern, you will assist with special projects including but not limited to:


  • Attend initial classroom training on the basics of balancing and then alternate between individual instruction and shadowing the Assembly & Testing Manager.
  • Assist with testing balancing equipment, program instrumentation, and use operating commands.
  • Assist with reviewing manufacturing documentation and drawings.


Duration/details:

The internship will span 10-12 weeks during summer months, depending on the student's school and vacation schedule. This is an in-person internship. You will work 40 hours per week, over a 3-month period. Business hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (Hours are flexible). You will be entitled to 2 paid sick days.


  • Must be a US Person.
  • Enrolled in Bachelor (3rd or 4th year) or Masters degree program of Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Technologyat accredited college or university.
  • Grade point average - 3.0 or above and be in good standing (letter of recommendation from professor or dean requested).
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints/drawings.
  • Basic CAD experience; AutoCad or Solidworks.
  • Strong PC and research skills.
  • Good communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Passion and interest in learning equipment testing!
