Transfer pricing focuses on how different entities in a multinational business interact to generate profits together. Transfer pricing analysts combine qualitative/verbal factual analysis with numeric/quantitative analysis to understand the market and internal forces that allow multinational businesses to create value, and how the profits from that value creation are spread across different tax jurisdictions. Transfer pricing requires curiosity about business, a focus on critical thinking, but also a comfort with ambiguity and qualitative reasoning. An interest in international matters is an advantage. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
