How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Marketing Manager, you will be working with the business development leaders within each product segment and reporting to the General Manager for Commtech. We are a niche technology provider, and the right candidate will require an understanding of how to communicate with our B2B and B2C audience. This role is perfect for enthusiastic marketers ready to take the step up to strategic planning in a supportive growing business.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  • Increasing brand awareness and engaging existing and potential customers across all digital channels within 3 businesses (ECS,TCI & KTS) and 3 segments (Battlespace, Datalinks & SMS).
  • Responsible for the development and execution of targeted marketing strategies for each product segment aimed at supporting the Business Development teams in their sales strategies; an end-to-end digital journey that provides existing and potential customers, potential employees and potential business partners with tailored, relevant messaging and an experience that sets us aside from the competition.
  • Managing of the website administrator to ensure the websites are accurate, up to date and reflecting the latest products and capabilities in line with the sales and marketing strategies and objectives.
  • Continually monitoring market developments and competitive analysis, assisting in market research projects and feedback findings to the business.
  • Design and implement a social media strategy per segment based on your research of current social trends within the industry's.
  • Management and mentorship of the Marketing Team providing guidance, mentorship and support to achieve departmental goals and ownership of the creation of related marketing collateral to align with the marketing strategies.
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting results, via appropriate KPI's, and utilize performance data to inform improvement areas for future strategies.
  • Creation of, and adherence to, annual marketing budgets required to execute the strategies whilst remaining in-line with the business's financial targets.
  • Work collaboratively with the Leadership Team and Sales & Marketing Administrator, to develop and execute marketing campaigns for various trade shows & events throughout the year.
  • Develop and implement a marketing process to support the end-to-end Product Launch Process. Work closely with the appropriate Sales Leader and Engineering teams to develop marketing material for the launch of new products in-line with this process.
  • Own and manage relationships with external partners to:
    • Produce creative briefs for our agencies and project manage the production and delivery of digital marketing campaigns and other deliverables.
    • Work with internal stakeholders to provide all required digital marketing toolkits.
    • Devise, develop and implement digital marketing campaigns to promote events, new product launches, new literature, and other key business developments.

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of work experience in Marketing, Digital Marketing.
  • Minimum of two (2) years managing a staff, proven success in leading teams and improving performance.
  • A sound understanding of digital marketing channels, tools and techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to engage customers.
  • Strong commercial acumen and excellent people skills essential.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage tight deadlines.
  • A good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Previous experience working within a digital marketing position.
  • Experience with CRM systems and email marketing packages.
  • Requires to be a US Citizen.

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience in a similar B2B business in the tech or manufacturing sector would be an advantage, however not essential.
  • Previous experience of working with in a Matrix environment.

Education & Certifications

  • A degree or professional qualification in a digital marketing / marketing related subject.

Travel & Working Environment

  • Hybrid
  • Travel to exhibitions as required

The compensation information that follows is a reasonable estimate for the position and is provided pursuant to legal requirements in this state. The salary estimate provided represents the typical salary range for the position, and other factors may be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary, including: skill set, experience, training, education, organizational needs, internal equity, market data, and geographic zone. The estimated salary range for this position is: $107,500.00 - $158,000.00. At SPX, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors. This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus plan, subject to the rules governing the plan. SPX offers a variety of benefits, including health benefits, 401k retirement with a company match, and flexible time off.
