Your Impact The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of equipment, machinery, and systems. Additionally, it is the Maintenance Technician is role to ensure Fountain House facilities are kept safe, clean and operate in a dignified manner consistent with the organization's mission. Full-time: 40 hours per week Includes occasional evening & weekends Based in Hell's Kitchen with occasional travel to other sites in Manhattan & Bronx $25.56 per hour Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
REQUIRED AND PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CREDENTIALS * High school diploma or GED, required * 3-5 years of maintenance experience and general knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems preferred * Must be able to obtain certificates of fitness for Fire Guard (FO1) & Supervision of Fire Alarm systems (S95) within the first year of employment * Other Certificates of fitness in HVAC, Standpipe and Life Safety systems is a plus * Experience using hand and electrical tools required * Ability to lift 50lbs. or more PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
