THE HIGH LEVEL

The Program Manager oversees a set of related projects, services, or program resources, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and customer outcomes. This role coordinates cross-functional teams, manages dependencies, and optimizes resources to deliver cohesive program results across portfolios, customers, or staff-augmentation support environments.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING



  • Review Government and non-Government contracts to understand program scope, objectives, deliverables, and performance expectations aligned with customer business goals.
  • Manage and interpret contract types including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Materials (T&M), and Firm Fixed Price / Level of Effort.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Government contracting fundamentals, including CLIN structures, FAR clauses, and the roles and responsibilities of Government contracting resources.
  • Lead high-complexity programs operating in service-driven, high-availability, or compliance-focused environments, ensuring alignment with long-term business strategy.
  • Oversee all phases of the program lifecycle, from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout, in accordance with corporate governance and standards.
  • Manage program financials, including budget oversight, burn-rate analysis, and cost performance tracking.
  • Forecast program financial performance on a monthly basis and articulate program health based on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Oversee the coordination and management of multiple related projects and/or ongoing service delivery efforts, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a clear program roadmap outlining timelines, dependencies, risks, and resource requirements across all underlying projects or services.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to project managers and/or program staff, ensuring standardized and consistent execution practices.
  • Align program goals with executive leadership and business units, translating strategic objectives into actionable workstreams.
  • Monitor overall program health through performance metrics, benefit realization, budget control, risk management, and resource utilization.
  • Serve as the escalation point for program-level risks and issues, driving resolution across cross-functional stakeholders to minimize delivery impact.
  • Foster collaboration across functional teams, subcontractors, and partners to align priorities, timelines, and delivery expectations.
  • Report on program progress and outcomes to senior leadership, including updates on budget utilization, deliverables, risks, and strategic value.
  • Conduct regular Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and risk assessments, adjusting plans as necessary to maintain alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Lead change management efforts associated with program delivery, preparing teams and stakeholders for operational, structural, or process impacts.


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE



  • PMI or PMP certification
  • 3-5 years of people or team leadership experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects or programs from initiation through execution
  • Strong ability to interpret and manage Government and non-Government contracts
  • Experience managing program financials, budgets, and forecasting
  • Ability to manage timelines, prioritize requirements, and meet customer deadlines
  • Experience supporting programs in regulated, compliance-driven, or service-oriented environments
  • Ability to lead programs involving ongoing service delivery, distributed teams, or evolving operational requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
