We are currently looking for an intern interested in learning about Government Relations and Business Operations Intern to join our team in Alexandria, VA. Responsibilities: We're seeking a highly motivated undergraduate student with an interest in defense technology, politics, and public policy.Candidates local to Alexandria VA strongly desired. -Assist in developing legislative strategies to assist growth and competition of government contractors supporting the Department of Defense -Research legislation, published studies and articles related to the defense industrial base and defense industrial policy -Review Federal Election Commission rules and policies -Research proposed legislation related to key defense technologies Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a undergraduate program in Business, Economics, Engineering, Science, Government Policy or related fields - Excellent communication skills written and verbal - Team player who can work independently and demonstrating initiative, ownership and problem solving skills Desired Skills -Understanding of the US political process and public administration -Working skills in Microsoft office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Clearance: Ability to obtain/maintain a US government security clearance.
