Day & Zimmermann is seeking an Administrative & Payroll Assistant for a full-time benefited position. The position is onsite, in-person and located on Elm Hill Pike near Spence Lane. Local candidates preferred, no per-diem available.

Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative support to site management and project teams, along with some payroll duties, to ensure efficient daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage correspondence, meeting schedules, and document filing systems.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentations as needed.
  • Assist with onboarding and personnel records management.
  • Support timekeeping and expense tracking.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and site logistics.
  • Maintain office supplies and manage equipment requests
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Maintain vehicle fleet records and inventory.


Experience & Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred. 2+ years of administrative experience in an industrial or construction setting.

Preferred Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and office systems. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $31,000 - $95,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
