The Director, Compliance plays a critical leadership role in advancing the effectiveness of GMR's Compliance Program. This position helps ensure adherence to healthcare laws, regulations and ethical standards by enhancing our compliance operations. The Director serves as a strategic partner to executive leaders and a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, operating seamlessly in a fast-paced, highly regulated healthcare environment.

This role requires interacting with all levels of leadership as well as with external regulatory agencies and other external stakeholders. The Director position requires strong business acumen in healthcare compliance and expert knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic initiatives to strengthen and evolve the GMR Compliance Program, including ongoing evaluation of program effectiveness.
  • Conduct enterprise-wide compliance risk assessments and implement targeted action plans.
  • Serve as a primary compliance resource for business partners across the organization.
  • Prepare compliance reports and materials for senior leadership and compliance committees.
  • Oversee responses to inquiries from federal, state, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Lead and manage internal compliance reviews, audits, and investigations.
  • Monitor evolving healthcare laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure the program remains current and effective.
  • Travel as needed to operational sites and leadership meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Master's Degree in Healthcare Compliance or related field, or Juris Doctor, preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience (e.g., healthcare, legal, EMS, compliance).
