Job Summary


The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling sub-assemblies and top-level fuel components using verbal instructions, blueprints, operation sketches, and assembly drawings. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring high-quality assembly, performing inspections, and assisting Manufacturing Engineering as needed to develop work instructions, tools, and fixtures. The position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Job Responsibilities




  • Assemble fuel components according to drawings, work instructions, and operational sketches



  • Disassemble and reassemble products returned for repair as needed



  • Utilize hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, arbor presses, vises, soldering irons, micrometers, calipers, and indicators



  • Follow routing sheets, operating instructions, and other documentation to ensure correct assembly



  • Perform visual inspections during assembly and upon completion of units



  • Determine appropriate tooling and special gauging required for tasks



  • Verify work as an operator/inspector for other team members as needed



  • Comply with all safety requirements and properly use personal protective equipment



  • Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work area in accordance with 5S standards



  • Participate in Lean initiatives and continuous improvement activities



  • Perform additional duties as assigned




Job Requirements




  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution



  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team



  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, blueprints, and other work documentation



  • Ability to work in a team-driven, collaborative environment



  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively



  • Experience using basic handheld and power tools




Work Experience




  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred



  • Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus
