The Wrangler Footwear Sales Manager plays a crucial role in executing strategic sales initiatives that drive revenue growth and establish a strong foundation for the Wrangler footwear business. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of everyday account management within the designated territory, fostering authentic relationships, and leveraging market insights to identify and capitalize on emerging business opportunities. The Sales Manager will collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with Wrangler's values, particularly in the work and western product categories.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Account Management:
    • Sales & Growth: Achieve sales targets, manage existing accounts, and identify new business opportunities.
    • Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of footwear trends, materials, and technology to advise clients effectively.
    • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with retail buyers and applicable management.
    • Administration & Logistics: Process orders, manage inventory, and handle reporting including sales forecasts.
  • Sales Execution:
    • Implement the sales strategies defined by Senior Leadership, focusing on achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth for Wrangler footwear.
    • Analyze sales performance data and market trends to adjust strategies and tactics as necessary.
  • Business Development:
    • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and explore potential partnerships in untapped markets.
    • Collaborate with the National Sales Director to develop innovative approaches for expanding Wrangler's market presence.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders:
    • Work closely with marketing teams to plan and execute in-store promotions and marketing initiatives that enhance brand presence and customer engagement.
    • Collaborate with merchandising teams to ensure optimal inventory levels for key product styles that align with customer demand.
  • Market Insights:
    • Utilize expertise in work and western product categories to provide insights that inform sales tactics and product offerings.
    • Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to ensure Wrangler remains competitive in the footwear market.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Provide support on Mentoring and training new hires, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement within the sales team.
    • Encourage collaboration and communication within the team to enhance overall sales performance.
  • Reporting:
    • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the National Sales Director, offering insights into account performance and market feedback.
    • Use data analytics to track sales effectiveness and propose necessary adjustments to strategies.
  • This role is vital for maintaining the integrity and authenticity of the Wrangler brand while driving sales and growth in the footwear category.


Experience and Skills You'll Need to Have

  • 10+ years or progressive experience in sales management, preferably within the footwear, apparel, or consumer goods industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in national account management and new business development.
  • Ability to develop and execute innovative sales strategies that drive revenue and market share growth.
  • Demonstrated success in leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with key national accounts and retail partners.
  • Proficiency in analyzing market trends, sales data, and consumer insights to inform business decisions.
  • Experience working with design, merchandising, marketing, operations, and digital teams to align on business goals.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Familiarity with sales analytics tools, CRM platforms, and retail planning systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with retail analytics platforms is a plus.
  • Results-driven, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
