Summary

Chobani is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Legal Affairs- Paralegal to join our Legal team as Senior Manager of Legal Affairs, Labor & Employment, Total Rewards, and Compliance. The Senior Manager will also assist attorneys in the Legal Department, by assessing and implementing legal operations tools including the management of legal documents and contracts, and other law department data analytics for the Legal Department. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to contribute to the success of a dynamic and innovative company in the food and beverage industry. The role will report to the Legal Vice-President, Labor & Employment and Compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Partner and advise attorneys and business partners in all employment, labor, and benefits litigation matters, including management of litigation docket, facilitating discovery compliance, including e-discovery, management of litigation hold process, review of pleadings prepared by outside counsel, and preparation of position statements and other legal matters under the supervision of the VP Legal.
  • Partner and advise attorneys and business partners in all HR compliance areas with policy development and training.
  • Oversee and support VP legal in management of Compliance program as appropriate, including administrative management of incident reporting platform and related documentation.
  • Manage and coordinate with VP legal in oversight/management of Immigration matters as appropriate, including collaboration and partnership with People Team stakeholders and external counsel.
  • Draft, review negotiate and revise various vendor and commercial agreements, including professional services agreements for talent search agencies and health & welfare benefit providers, and statements of work for all of the above; resolve contract drafting and negotiation issues within scope of expertise and escalate issues as appropriate to attorneys.
  • Serve as a trusted legal advisor to internal stakeholders on legal issues, legal disputes, contractual obligations and management, including contract intake and contract renewal docket
  • Define and drive strategic and operational initiatives and identify areas for operational improvement and automation for the Legal Department from ideation to completion; this includes collaborating with Legal Team Leads and key stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, assumptions, dependencies, risks, value proposition/rationale, and develop and manage project plans.
  • End-to-end responsibility for management of legal software and tech solutions, including procuring new tools as needed to drive efficiency and effectiveness of the Legal Department; specific focus on document management system, litigation hold system, sanctions screening platform, and Compliance training platform.
  • Identifying KPIs, benchmarks and metrics to report on the Legal Department's performance, data, and analytics, as it relates to labor, employment, and benefits litigation, and Compliance matters.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other members of the Legal Team, internal stakeholders, and external parties.
  • Manage weekly legal review meetings with cross-functional business partners.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Legal Team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working as a litigation paralegal, with a focus on labor & employment preferred.
  • Paralegal certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in Office365 and other systems to capture redline edits and legal feedback with strong working knowledge in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience with legal operations platforms to improve department efficiencies and management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Familiarity with CPG food manufacturing and distribution, food industry regulations and compliance matters is a plus.

The salary range for this full-time position is $121,000.00 - $190,300.00, + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
