Summary of the Job:

The Sr. Analyst, AI Standards and Governance is a First Line of Defense (1LOD) role supporting enterprise standards and risk-based controls aligned to our emerging AI capabilities. This role ensures our AI roadmap can proceed safely with aligned controls to enable efficiency, productivity and safe and responsible use of AI at FNBO. The Sr. Analyst partners closely with business, technology, information security, Risk and HR to ensure Standards are effective and our AI use cases are consistently evaluated, appropriately routed, and ready for review within established governance processes.

About This Role:

Generative AI Standards and Governance

  • Build a comprehensive knowledge of our Gen AI Capabilities and roadmap
  • Develop GenAI standards that are scalable and practical for our platforms
  • Engage Architecture and Development teams to understand potential risks and applicable controls
  • Collaborate with 2LOD to ensure GenAI Governance Standards are defensibleand address risk concerns, andprovidesupportforindependent ongoing assessments
  • Guide GenAI Procedures and Controls development and monitor status of regular reviews
  • Conduct annual reviews of GenAI Governance Standards to ensure they reflect current state
  • Provide documentation and context to 2LOD during audits and examinations

Generative AI Use Case Lifecycle Management

  • AlignTPRM, ERM, and Service Delivery(processes?)systems to ensure consistentfoundationalGenAI Use Case information across platforms
  • Manage GenAI Use Case intake from AI Opportunity Workshops, Archer system submissions, and IT Investment Management requests
  • Standardizematerialityassessment criteriaand intake questions across all submission channels
  • Review requests for completeness and prepare materials for governance reviews, when appropriate
  • Collaborate with GenAI Adoption & Enablement team to identify and escalateappropriate use cases
  • Develop and maintain GenAI Use Case Lifecycle procedure documentation
  • Track and report AI Use Case Lifecycle status leveraging our Archer platform

Generative AI Research &Analysis

  • Research emerging GenAI technologies and potential risks associated with new capabilities
  • Monitor industry trends and learn how other organizations are approaching AI governancestandardsand risk managementcontrols
  • Use the technology hands-on to understand practical applications, limitations, and control implications
  • Apply analytical thinking to identify themes and patterns across AI use case submissions
  • Synthesize business, technical, and risk considerations into clear insights for leadership
  • Maintain expertise in the evolving GenAI landscape to provide informed guidance

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in technology, risk, governance, or related roles within regulated or control-driven environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to evaluate emerging technologies and identify risk implications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate technical concepts into clear insights for diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across business, technology, and risk functions
  • Curiosity and strong learning mindset, particularly in emerging technologies such as Generative AI
  • Experience supporting standards development, control design, or operational framework documentation
  • Appliedunderstanding of Generative AI concepts, enterprise applications (e.g., LLMs), and common risk patterns such as prompt injection, data leakage, and model misuse
  • Sound judgment to balance thoughtful risk assessment with pragmatic execution and forward momentum
  • Effective operation as a First Line of Defense, understanding when to execute, when to escalate, and when to partner

Desired

  • Experience supporting AI, analytics, or advanced data governance initiatives in enterprise environments
  • Experience with governance frameworks andrisk assessment methodologies
  • Background in financial services or other highly regulated industries
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and enterprise technology concepts such as APIs, identity management, and secure integrations
  • Familiarity with technology risk frameworks (e.g., NIST RMF) and their application to emerging technologies
Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $81,662.00-$134,741.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Work Environment:

It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week. As part of our team, you'll experience the energy and relationship-building of face-to-face collaboration while still enjoying the flexibility of remote workdays. We provide the tools and technology to ensure seamless transitions between work environments, supporting your productivity wherever you are. Please note that work location is subject to change based on business needs.
