Are you a meticulous financial professional with a passion for accuracy and a knack for problem-solving? We are looking for a key contributor to join a robust finance team, where your expertise will directly influence the organization's financial health and strategic decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your accounting prowess to ensure the integrity of financial reporting, support critical operations, and contribute to the overall mission of a forward-thinking institution. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial controls, optimizing processes, and providing essential insights that guide leadership.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Contribute significantly to the timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.

* Design, implement, and meticulously maintain internal controls, financial system reports, and interfaces to ensure robust financial operations.

* Prepare and/or rigorously review account reconciliations, cost reports, billings, bank reconciliations, and various other critical financial reports.

* Serve as a primary point of contact for auditors and management, providing essential financial information and preparing detailed audit schedules as required.

* Review and/or prepare federal, state, and other regulatory reports, ensuring strict compliance with established guidelines and standards.

* Scrutinize and/or prepare financial transactions and general ledger journal entries with supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and initiating corrective actions for any discrepancies.

* Actively review, maintain, reconcile, and update general ledger accounts to uphold financial data integrity.

**Qualifications:**

**Education & Experience:**

* Bachelor's degree in a work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university.

* Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.

**Must-Have Skills:**

* Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems and software utilized in modern accounting practices.

* In-depth understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

* Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to GAAP, tax issues, and financial reporting.

* Exceptional accounting skills with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency.

* Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial problems and develop effective solutions.

* Capacity to apply sound judgment and make informed decisions in critical financial situations.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to summarize complex data and present results clearly and concisely.

* Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

* Ability to excel both as a collaborative team player and a proactive leader.

**Nice-to-Have Skills:**

* Advanced proficiency in Excel.

* A strong sense of urgency and proactivity in managing tasks and deadlines.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $69.95 to $74.53 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
