Job DescriptionBuilding Operations Lead, Facilities Services - JLL What this job involves:As a Building Operations Lead at JLL, you'll oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of a dynamic facility, ensuring seamless service delivery with minimal disruption to building occupants. This leadership role combines hands-on technical expertise with team management responsibilities, requiring you to coordinate preventative maintenance programs, manage reactive repairs, and supervise both internal maintenance staff and external service providers. You'll utilize computerized maintenance management systems to optimize workflow, ensure regulatory compliance through scheduled inspections, and maintain inventory control for parts and supplies. Your leadership directly impacts facility reliability, safety standards, and operational efficiency while supporting JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional facility management services. What your day-to-day will look like:* Manage and facilitate maintenance workflow through Corrigo CMMS, scheduling preventative maintenance to minimize disruption while coordinating reactive repairs with appropriately qualified team members and contractors * Complete and oversee multiple compliance and regulatory inspections, checklists, and preventative maintenance tasks at regularly scheduled intervals to ensure facility adherence to safety standards * Supervise and train maintenance team members, demonstrating proper use of tools and equipment while providing hands-on instruction in maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques * Order parts and equipment required for repairs, maintenance, and new installations while maintaining adequate operating inventory of tools and supplies through vendor relationship management * Manage third-party vendor relationships including scheduling, coordinating work activities, and ensuring quality service delivery across all facility operations * Ensure compliance with departmental policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials while maintaining a clean and safe workplace environment * Prepare budget recommendations and cost estimates for facility repairs and improvements, responding to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner while maintaining positive working relationships across all facility operations Required Qualifications:* Minimum 5 years of experience in general building repair and maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, basic plumbing, conveyor maintenance, and basic electrical systems * At least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role with demonstrated ability to manage maintenance teams and coordinate contractor activities * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to navigate web-based systems and CMMS platforms * Physical capability to lift minimum of 50 pounds, work from ladders up to 30 feet, and perform maintenance tasks requiring repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, climbing, and extended periods of standing and walking * Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with excellent communication skills, both oral and written Preferred Qualifications:* EPA Certification for refrigerant handling and environmental compliance * 4+ years of experience leading engineering or maintenance teams * Trade school degree or technical certification in facilities maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or related discipline * Experience with Corrigo or other computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) * Budget preparation and cost management experience Location: Onsite Work Shift: First Shift - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
