Overview
USU Extension 4-H Horse Coordinator II in Cache County. Working with 4-H youth and volunteers. Provides leadership to the Cache County 4-H Horse Program. Facilitate, Coordinate and Oversee Cache County 4-H Horse Program. This position does require occasional travel consistent with university policy. This position does require the ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends.

Job offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities
  • Attend Horse Council Meetings.
  • Must have effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, excellent organizational skills, basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Zoom, etc.)
  • Strong organizational, time and project management skills.
  • Respond to requests, office visits, telephone calls, emails and other correspondence promptly and professionally.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Assist with other 4-H events/duties as needed.
  • Reports to USU Extension Cache County Director


Qualifications
Minimum Qualificaitons
  • Two years of experience or an associate degree/vocational training is required.
  • Experience with 4-H or other youth serving programs.
  • Experience with recruiting, supervising and working with volunteers and youth.
  • Prior experience with community programming.
  • Valid driver's license to perform essential job responsibilities, such as driving university vehicles and transporting materials.

Prefered Qualificaitons
  • Bachelors, Associates or 4 years experience preferred.

standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, and some lifting. Mental application utilizes memory for details,
