Job Summary:
This position will provide intensive one-on-one and group academic advising to students in the CeO program to help assigned advisees navigate the success pathway from summer orientation to graduation. The CeO Advisor engages students in decision making processes and promotes appropriate and responsible choices on academic matters such as course selection, degree requirements, academic support, career exploration, and high impact experiences. The CeO Advisor maintains appropriate confidentiality, updates student advising records, and contributes to the development and delivery of academic advising related events and programs. They work to ensure students receive accurate, timely, and holistic advising services in support of promoting student success, retention, and graduation and strives to create belonging and community. This position is full-time, 100% FTE. Expected start date for this position is May 17, 2026. Ongoing/Renewable This position is eligible for: partial remote work. Remote work requires an approved remote work agreement (RWA) agreement. An RWA requires successful candidates to possess their own high-speed internet and phone to perform the work on a university provided computer. Per University policy, transportation between home and assigned work location is not payable/reimbursable and will be at the expense of the employee. Key Job Responsibilities:
Division for Teaching and Learning, Center for Educational Opportunity (CeO) The Center for Educational Opportunity (CeO) empowers eligible students to engage and achieve through holistic advising, connecting students with campus resources, and fostering a supportive climate for all students. CeO helps students progress through their academic careers at UW-Madison with the support of two federally funded TRIO grants, Student Support Services (SSS) and Student Support Services-STEM (STEM), and a state-funded program, Academic Success and Achievement Program (ASAP). Compensation:The starting salary for the position is $55,000 (but will be based on experience and qualifications).
