In this role, you will be effectively managing projects and customer support for a fast-paced, exciting oncology pharmaceutical account. You will have the unique opportunity to build relationships with established and new clients across oncology storytelling, regulatory/data/pipeline communications, thought leadership, and social/digital media. You will partner with smart, engaged clients and colleagues who appreciate attention to detail, collaboration, and quick thinking. You will:

  • Support account leads in the development and execution of communications launch plans, medical meeting strategies, and thought leadership opportunities
  • Serve as a key client contact for core workstreams, helping manage timelines, workflow, and deliverable quality
  • Supervise junior team members on execution, proactively identifying needs, providing recommendations, and escalating appropriately to senior leadership
  • Coordinate cross-functional project management and collaboration with shared services, vendors, media, and other third parties to ensure seamless execution
  • Support development of junior team members by providing timely feedback, guidance, and mentorship
  • Assist in managing financial and business operations (e.g., budget tracking, billing support, staffing coordination) to help keep accounts running smoothly and on track
Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in a professional environment within the healthcare public relations and/or communications industries
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a fast-paced (but fun) environment, meeting internal and external deadlines
  • Proven experience in client relations, plan development and budget management
  • Ability to work within and manage a team
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and third-parties
  • Drive to be a self-starter/self-motivator
Desired Requirements:
  • Agency experience
  • Experience and interest in healthcare communications; experience with branded product communications and in advocacy relations
  • An understanding of social media processes/tools/approach/regulations, corporate review processes, healthcare regulations/pharma industry and issues management
  • Experience in event planning/management

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $130K to $140K. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
