What to Expect
Tesla is hiring a Demand Planner to design and operate the geographic distribution of Tesla vehicles, deciding where each car goes once it gets built. Effectively managing vehicle supply post-production is critical to the company's success.
What You'll Do
- Ensure the outbound plan is executed accurately in the system
- Coordinate with logistics to execute ad-hoc routing requests
- Build KPIs and metrics to track the application of the plan in the system
- Work with stakeholders to streamline the Outbound Routing Process
- Manage the customer escalations process including deciding which customer should be bumped up in line, finding errors, and building reports on customer sequencing
- Run scenarios to understand impact of customer sequencing changes on the plan and customer wait times
- Work with sales and delivery to assess the quality of customer backlog and develop mechanisms to have a clean customer backlog signal
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years related experience in Operations Planning, Business Planning, Logistics, Inventory Planning, Demand Planning, Outbound Supply Chain
- Microsoft Excel and SQL skills required; Python or other programming experience preferred
- Proven ability to independently own an operational process
- Ability to work cross-functionally and build organic support for key initiatives
- Excellent judgment and ability to proactively anticipate complex chain-reaction impacts of plans
- Self-motivation, strong work ethic, and a passion for being hands-on in their work in a rapid pace environment

Expected Compensation
$96,000 - $162,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
