RESPONSIBILITIES

The Global Payments Product Manager role will be responsible for the strategic development, commercialization, and lifecycle management of value-added services (VAS) built around the Goldman Sachs Transaction Banking (TxB) core offering. They will work diligently with all TxB teams, including partners in sales, engineering, risk, design, and servicing to build a best-in-class payments experience for our valued clients. They will support the creation of the overall product strategy, driving long term strategic growth through responsible product design and commercialization. This role will utilize existing knowledge of microservices development across various channels and an understanding of client challenges/opportunities as well as industry trends.



  • Act as a subject matter expert in the payment's product suite, specifically on services that mitigate risk or enhance the client experience
  • Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, including ideation, design, development, testing and launch of new features or product enhancements through cross line of business collaboration, ensuring successful delivery and optimal client value
  • Translate between business requirements and technology specifications - in both directions: top-down and bottom-up
  • Define, analyze and action product performance metrics such as KPIs, market trends and client feedback
  • Present complex ideas and processes in easy to consume messaging to gain stakeholder alignment and drive initiatives
  • Support Sales with client needs identification, solution recommendations, pricing, and product demos
  • Stay current on industry trends, including ISO 20022 migration, real-time payments, open banking/APIs, and network-level VAS (e.g., SWIFT gpi, request-to-pay schemes)
  • Ensure all products comply with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., AML/KYC, data privacy such as GDPR/CCPA, PSD2 where applicable)


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Payments Product Management or API Development
  • Deep understanding of corporate payment flows (ACH, wires, SWIFT, real-time payments), account validation frameworks, and payment tracking standards (e.g., SWIFT gpi)
  • Experience with value-added services such as account validation, payment tracking, payment status notifications, beneficiary verification, fraud screening utilities, and data enrichment solutions
  • Bachelor's Degree required (or military experience); MBA or advanced degree preferred
