Operator I (Assistant Press Operator) - Night Shift (7PM-7AM \| 2-2-3 Schedule) Location: Bethel, PA Department: Mailer Production Classification: Hourly We're hiring an Operator I (Assistant Operator) to support our fastpaced production team. This role assists in operating converting and finishing equipment, maintaining product quality, and ensuring safe, efficient production. Ideal for someone mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and ready to grow. Why Join Us Competitive pay + full benefits Stable fulltime schedule Handson technical role with room to advance Strong team culture and supportive leadership What You'll Do Assist in operating converting line and finishing equipment Read job tickets and verify materials before production Support press crews in efficient machine operation Set up and operate inline systems (splicer, gluer, Straub applicators, label applicators, rotary cutter, etc.) Perform minor mechanical adjustments and basic repairs Maintain accurate counts and complete required documentation Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment Perform operatorlevel cleaning per SOP Assist in troubleshooting equipment and improving processes What We're Looking For Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to learn and follow Standard Operating Procedures Positive teamwork mindset Strong communication skills (especially during shift transitions) Ability to work in a fastpaced manufacturing environment Comfortable taking direction and coaching Work Environment Indoor manufacturing environment Exposure to moving machinery High heat/humidity at times Noise levels 85 dB+ PPE required Physical Requirements Frequent standing, stooping, bending Frequent lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs Occasional typing/keyboarding Schedule Fulltime Shift work (insert shift schedule) Overtime as needed Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required 5-7 years of related experience or a combination of experience and training #MS1 Diversity and Inclusion We believe in diversity of thought and bringing together other traits and characteristics that make an individual bring a unique experience to Pregis.
