Job Description:
The Planning Manager is responsible for the achievement of project timing for the Platform team during the full program life cycle. Implement and coordinate the general and detailed (by phase) scheduling of the project /program to ensure timing consistency in execution

- Build and monitor the list of means for validation with their scheduling, manufacturing and delivery to customers
- Manage the commercial launch plan (volumes and dates) with the Brand(s), the Plant(s) and the Purchasing Department,
- Lead the convergence to resources budget (headcounts and means) and manage all action plans to respect it
- Target : ensure project / program execution at due date aligned with the Contract general schedule, with the committed headcounts & means budget
Responsibilities:
- Ensure overall program level feasibility and project timing
- Work with multiple cross functional organizations and all levels of management from senior executives to product design and release engineers
- Lead platform project reporting status, milestone and governance activities
- Lead detailed scheduling of the project to ensure timing and execution
- Lead mule plan and timing to initiate early vehicle level development
- Create and manage vehicle bulletins and responses
- Manage source package timing, status and approvals
- Manage pre-production vehicle build plan and delivery to support vehicle validation requirements
- Manages the commercial launch plan with the brand teams and assembly plant
- Manage total production cost planning and execution activities
- Manage validation and achievement of labor objectives
Critical skills:
- Understanding of vehicle construction by system (Body, Chassis, Engine Systems, etc.) and subsystems (Underbody, Suspension, Cooling, HVAC, etc.)
- Understand part break up of vehicles and how they are assembled
- Working knowledge of component timing and cost
- Ability to define and organize component timelines to support project milestones
- Lead cross functional team reviews of timing status, component sourcing, and governance report outs

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Business or Engineering or related degree field
- 8 years of Automotive Industry experience
- Experience in team leadership, cross-functional coordination and vehicle program lifecycles
- Experience in vehicle / component design / release engineering, vehicle finance cost, program management, and / or component cost analysis
- Experience in resident/quality engineering
- Very strong presentational / communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Able to motivate and lead people that do not report directly to you
- MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced technical or management degree
- Program or project management experience
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Ability to productively manage change
- Ability to present ideas and concepts successfully to all levels of management
