Job Description




As a Security Officer - Screening Station Driver in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet drivers and visitors, verify identification and shipments, and help maintain access control at key entry points. You will remain visible, document activity, and communicate clearly with site teams to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, vehicles, and/or deliveries at entry points by verifying identification, checking credentials, and confirming appointments or shipping documentation per site requirements.
  • Conduct package and property screening as assigned, including visual inspections and use of screening tools and/or equipment when authorized, and report prohibited or suspicious items per protocol.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate key information during shift transitions, and assist with access control and traffic flow to help to deter unauthorized entry.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6+ months of security experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
