Security Officer - Part-Time Airport Unarmed

As a Airport Security Professional - Curbside Patrol in Lihue, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon/Overnight

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. The premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 21+ years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and/or staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, post orders, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, curbside areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, check credentials as directed, and assist with maintaining orderly lines, queues, and/or pedestrian traffic flow.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, suspicious items, and/or alarms, and request assistance as needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
