Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol in Salinas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location in Central California as an armed patrol officer, monitoring assigned areas and conducting routine foot and/or vehicle patrols. You will stay highly visible to help reduce incidents, respond to alarms and service calls, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, post orders, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Carry a duty weapon in accordance with licensing requirements, training standards, and site policies, and use sound judgment and de-escalation techniques to help reduce risk during confrontations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and/or local law enforcement as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, checking doors, gates, restricted areas, and unusual conditions to help to deter prohibited activity.
  • Complete detailed reports, logs, and required notifications for incidents, patrol activity, and access events, using Allied Universal reporting procedures and client documentation requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
