Job Overview:

The purpose of this position is to ensure the accuracy of warehouse and plant inventory balances. This position is responsible for maintain the cycle count program and process, root cause analysis, accuracy reporting, and corrective actions. The successful implementation and maintenance of these processes should yield increased inventory accuracy, reduced component shortages, reduced cost of indirect labor for material handling and improved productivity of the manufacturing operation.


Responsibilities:


  • Performs and oversees cycle counts to ensure physical inventory matches documented records.



  • Maintains high levels of inventory accuracy and integrity.



  • Conducts inventory reviews and assessments using designated software.



  • Assists in managing warehouse inventory for smooth and efficient operations.



  • Organizes products according to established procedures.



  • Locates misplaced goods.



  • Reports inconsistencies or damaged goods.



  • Opens and repackages shipments.



  • Measures and weighs products (may involve using scales and measuring tools).





Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or GED



  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing/ distribution environment




Core Competencies:


  • Self motivated.



  • Possesses strong mathematical aptitude for inventory calculations.



  • Analyzes data discrepancies between system transactions and physical inventory.



  • Identifies and resolves inventory discrepancies based on established limits (e.g., $500 for shipping discrepancies).



  • Works with minimal supervision.



  • Handles routine problems but can interpret and deviate from standard procedures when necessary.





Preferences:


  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS), databases, and potentially other systems like Oracle, SharePoint, Windchill.



  • Utilizes RF scanning guns, calculators, and order pickers for inventory management.



  • Utilizes forklifts and reach trucks



  • Comfortable with heights is a must!

  • Fully site based.
