Position Highlights The University of Arizona's Information Technology Services (UITS) invites you to apply for the role of Application Development Analyst II (Applications Development Programmer Analyst II).

The ServiceNow ITSM (IT Service Management) Applications Development Analyst II will design, build, deliver, and maintain technology solutions that enhance research, learning, and operations. This position provides expertise in technology strategy, policies, plans, architecture, deployment, and maintenance of the University's applications, systems, and hardware infrastructure to support security and ongoing end-user services.

This position is eligible for remote work within Arizona, in conversation with the supervisor.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for installation, configuration, and maintenance of four instances of the software application to support business requirements.
  • Provides expert level consulting, coordination and facilitation of IT Service Management for large scale and complex deployments.
  • Articulates, develops and models the end user experience, including the visual design of the application, to make user interaction simple, efficient, and consistent.
  • Participates in strategic analysis and data gathering from internal and external clients and other sources.
  • Organizes and manages project phases to ensure satisfactory and timely completion of deliverables.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work on challenges and opportunities that are strategic in nature, varied, and involve evaluation, interpretation, and the development of new approaches, methods, or techniques requiring innovation and creativity.
  • Ability to influence policies, standards, and processes within and outside of the job function, and to communicate effectively within the division, department, and externally as needed.
  • Knowledge of ITSM or ITIL principles, theories, and concepts, and general understanding of industry practices, techniques, and standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug application issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to technically lead others.
  • Ability to work and communicate with users and managers at all levels of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of (3) years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
