| Position Summary |
The UNC Upward Bound Program is a Federal TRiO Program funded to help Scholars build the skills and motivation necessary to pursue and succeed in college and attain a Bachelor's Degree. Each summer, the program offers Scholars a comprehensive, 6-week academy that provides academic enrichment, professional development, and personal growth opportunities. Upward Bound Scholars engage in Math, Science, English, Spanish, and History courses.
The individual would be monitoring students over night in the dormitory hall. This position requires individuals to ensure the safety of minors during the hours of 11 pm- 7 am. Minors are not allowed out of their rooms during this time.

| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
* Responsible for the safety and security of the facility by being alert and routinely monitoring the building to ensure the safety and security of all occupants.
* Help ensure the facility is clean and safe by performing general checks.
* Utilize crisis intervention techniques and can identify potential conflicts and intervene.
* Answer phones in the event of an emergency and make continuous rounds of the building.
