Job Description

DevOps Engineer, RBC Bank (Georgia), National Association, Raleigh, NC:

Engage DevOps principles to drive modern engineering practices including CI (Continuous Integration), CD (Continuous Delivery). Utilize modern tooling to automate Code compilation, deployments, fixes, updates and related processes. Architect scalable, secure, and robust systems to support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Optimize system performance through load balancing, caching, and database optimization techniques. Implement security best practices across the CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure. Integrate SAST and DAST scanners into pipelines in accordance with RBC Secure Application Development Standards and SDLC life cycle best practices. Develop and implement remediation plans for high-priority vulnerabilities. Implement automated rollback mechanisms to revert to previous stable versions in case of deployment failures. Implement automated monitoring solutions to track system performance and health. Ensure that all environments are consistent and aligned with the required configurations and dependencies. Document pipeline architecture, design decisions, configurations, and best practices. Effectively communicate and build rapport and act as liaison with multiple interfacing applications, 3rd party vendors, IT Executive and/or Project Managers. Ensure effective use of version control systems like Git for code collaboration, allowing team members to work together seamlessly on codebases. Develop automation workflows that span across development, testing, and operations teams, enabling seamless integration and collaboration throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days a week.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $157,248.00 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, or related field, and 6 years of progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, the employer will accept a master's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, or related field, and 3 years of related work experience.

Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Openshift Container platform, public cloud foundry;
  • Kubernetes, Docker;
  • Python /Bash Scripting and Programming for Automation, API development;
  • Jenkins, Travis CI, Aqua, Spunk, Dynatrace;
  • Cloud Azure/AWS and Networking;
  • HELIOS Enterprise pipeline, KYVOS and Innersource;
  • Enterprise ServiceNow - ECAB and LCAB; and
  • Enterprise Archer, IIPM and BCM tools.

Must have 2 years of experience in GITHUB Actions.

Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.

The base salary for this job is $157,248.00 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
