Overview

R&P is looking for a senior-level Deputy Program Manager who wants to join our team. We are a mid-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need an experience leader ready to join a fast-paced and exciting program to assist the Navy in constructing the newest class of Frigate.



Responsibilities

    Assist the PM in implementing work standards, work plans, and schedules; communicate policies and organizational goals; and manage and control program funds and resources.
  • Assist the PM in monitoring contract execution plan including time and cost estimates.
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to contract execution plan and schedule, and identify contract problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
  • Assist the PM in adherence to quality control and security policies and procedures.
  • Supervise technical and administrative staff and provide ongoing direction in performance of assigned tasking.
  • Prioritize workload, determine required staffing levels and adjust staffing as required.
  • Review major reports and briefings prepared by technical staff for quality.
  • Ensure appropriate training is delivered to contract staff.
  • Act as secondary customer contact for contract technical and cost performance.
  • Assist the PM during contract review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings and presentations to colleagues, subordinates, and government representatives.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, stakeholders, subcontractors, vendors, and industry.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise employees and establish performance goals.
  • Conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any field plus at least 10 years of relevant work experience n program/project management and shipbuilding.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred.
  • Experience communication with SES/Flag level personnel.
  • Active Secret Clearance.

Salary
