Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist will take on an important accounting role within the Accounts Payable department at Factory Motor Parts. The Specialist will maintain our automated invoice approval system (DocuPeak) and use it to process invoices. The Specialist will ensure all invoices are coded and allocated properly so they are accurately entered into are accounting system (NetSuite).

The Accounts Payable Specialist position will report to the Accounts Payable Supervisor.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the following duties and may support additional reporting and communication needs as directed by the Accounts Payable Supervisor:



  • Scan and upload invoices into the automated approval system (DocuPeak)
  • Code and process a high volume of invoices, including utilities, phone services, temporary services, and ocean freight
  • Handle a high volume of internal and external phone inquiries
  • Maintain utility and phone tracking spreadsheets
  • Research and resolve vendor payment, invoice, and account inquiries in a timely manner
  • Responsible for setting up new utility accounts and managing disconnections for closed accounts
  • Generate weekly invoices for all temporary service providers using the Conexis system
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Accounts Payable Supervisor as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:



  • 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
  • 2 year Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a high volume, fast pace environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effectively communicate both internally and externally
  • Maintain vendor relationships
  • Ability to work independently or with a team



WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a full-time, in-person position located at our Corporate Headquarters in Eagan, Minnesota.
