$17.00 - $20.00 / hour

Position Summary: Children's Aid-Goodhue Center is looking to hire a part-time Maintenance Worker as part of the Center's Maintenance team. The Maintenance Worker will help the team keep the location clean, compliant and operational.

Essential Duties:



  • Understand and promote the organization's Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine manual tasks in maintaining the cleanliness, sanitary conditions and appearance of buildings and grounds.
  • Cleans bathrooms, offices, hallways and any other assigned areas by sweeping, mopping scrubbing and polishing.
  • Empties and decontaminates trash containers.
  • Moves, rearranges and dusts furniture and fixtures.
  • Sweeps sidewalks, porches and tiled surfaces.
  • Maintain equipment; reports need for painting and minor building or equipment repair to supervisor.
  • Cuts grass, trims shrubs, waters plants and performs other related duties on the grounds when assigned.
  • Performs custodial related duties necessary to maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions.
  • Reports building or equipment repairs to supervisor, advises Maintenance Supervisor on all maintenance and repair problems.
  • Monitor supply inventory on floor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Health and Safety



  • Maintain a healthy and safe environment (i.e. safely store cleaning supplies, equipment, mark wet floors, etc.)



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Certificates of Fitness within 6 months of hire, including S95 Certificate of Fitness for Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems and F07 Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor.
  • Team-oriented approach. Willingness to learn new skills while improving current ones.
  • High School Graduate/GED required.
  • Basic computer skills required, particularly email and calendar.
  • Ability to lift or carry 20lbs.
