DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of transplant pharmacy leadership, the Pharmacist II - Transplant Clinical Services provides specialized clinical and consultative pharmacy support for patients receiving heart, lung, kidney, and liver transplants, as well as those supported by mechanical circulatory assist devices. Working within inpatient transplant units, transitions-of-care services, and specialized ambulatory transplant clinics, this pharmacist contributes to high-quality, coordinated, and evidence-based pharmacotherapy across the continuum of transplant care. Pharmacists in this position will also precept pharmacy students and residents, provide educational support to the clinical teams, and support quality improvement projects at the discretion of their supervisor and transplant leadership. Other roles may be assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Doctorate of Pharmacy degree or equivalent clinical experience.

  • Registered Pharmacist - issued by the state of California (RPH).

  • Incumbents can meet the minimum experience qualifications for this position in 1 of 3 ways:1) possesses a PGY 2 or 2) possesses a PGY 1 plus 1 year of pharmacist experience, or 3)possesses 4 years of pharmacist experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Abdominal transplant experience.

  • Immunosuppression monitoring experience.

  • Inpatient experience.

  • Ambulatory Care experience.

  • Epic experience.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $190,488 - $225,337 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $91.23 - $107.92

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
