Summary

TheSr. Manager,Trade Compliancespecifically willbe responsible foradministering the company'stradecompliance program and working with the company'sDirector of Trade Compliance andLegal Department to implementappropriate controlsto ensure the company's compliance with its legal and regulatory obligations.The candidate will be an integral part of the Trade Compliance team and willassistthe Director of Trade Compliancewith developingand updating thetrade compliancepoliciesthroughoutthe company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise& managetrade compliancespecialists.

  • Ability to manage trade compliance policies across multiple locations.

  • Managing thecompany'sday-to-daycompliance programstransactions.

  • Consulting with internal businesspartnersboth domestically and internationally,regardingprogram requirements andlicensing expectations.

  • Providepricing for Trade Compliance direct program changes.

  • Conduct Jurisdiction, Product Classification and HTS/Schedule B for products and software.

  • Manage all export licensing requirements which includes(but not limited too):license determinations,transaction management, execution,recordkeepingand auditing.Extensive knowledge in TAA preparation and management ispreferred.

  • Draft procedures and provide training to internal personnel.

  • Responsible for all technical data and technology determinations and marking instructions.

  • Review and provide guidance onthe following: Contracts, NDAs, SupplierRequestand other legal documentation.

  • Develop andManage processandefficacyimprovements withinthe respective areas of trade compliance.

  • Conduct andparticipatein internal export compliance audits.

  • Assistin the investigation ofpotential non-compliance, report findings to senior management.

  • Implement andmonitorcorrective actionsto ensure compliancewith changes.

  • Contributes to process and policy improvements.

  • Performs other duties as assignedby the Director of Trade Compliance.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Minimum8+years related workexperience.

  • Robust knowledge of the International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

  • A technical background forjurisdictionandclassificationsin hardware andsoftware,is preferred.

  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing government contractsthat aresubject to ITAR.

  • Previousexperience as an Empowered Official is desired.

  • USpersonmandatory due to access to controlled information.

  • Background in import / export regulations, compliance, classifications, licensing and exemptions, commodityjurisdictionrequestsand Technology Control Plans.

  • Certified export compliancepersonneland/or licensed customs brokeris desired.

  • Abilityto file Electronic Export Information (EEI) in the Automated Export System (AES).

  • Able to provide advice,counseland coaching to alllevelof personnel in interpreting and understanding the compliance policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and phone etiquette.

  • Strong negotiating skills.

  • Role requires ability to work across multiple functional departments / organizations and globally.

  • Ability toconduct research into project-related issues.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a time sensitive environment.

  • Able to work within a team and foster teamwork and trust from both external and internal customers.

  • Strong organizational, communication and computer skills.

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Work Environment

This joboperatesin a professional office environment. This role routinelyusesstandard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Must be able tobe onMS Team videotools for online meetings.

  • Able to travel20% of time.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Flexible working schedule to support business priorities.
