Job Title:Marketing Content Specialist Job Description:

Summary

The Marketing Content Specialist is responsible for creating and managing all content for Enterprise Bank & Trust. This person is responsible for ensuring that the marketing team is reusing, repurposing, localizing (when appropriate) and implementing core content to its full potential for campaign performance and optimization across all channels. This centralized role serves as a strategist between digital, marketing operations and all communications functions to ensure alignment on messaging, audience, campaigns and optimization of content. The Content Specialist is also responsible for developing original content to help support the annual content plan. This includes email copy, website copy, blogs and other thought leadership, advertising copy and more.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage centralized editorial calendar to support content visibility, transparency, production, brand governance and regulatory compliance
  • Conduct content inventory and curation updates to central repositories (content asset management, website, MAP, Enterprise Vault, etc.)
  • Maintain a detailed content inventory; identify gaps and make recommendations
  • Aggregate and maintain inputs for content, including audience insights, personas, messaging, competitive information and feedback from content contributors and users
  • Contribute to overall content lifecycle management, from creation and editing through approvals, publishing/activation, auditing, measurement, curation and maintenance
  • Create, manage, contribute to and publish content to support inbound content marketing and outbound content programs, working closely with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Manage content localization on the basis of content strategy, regional needs and expectations
  • Together with content and campaign teams, help design and optimize workflows, standards, and processes for content asset management
  • Collaborate with web and digital teams to audit and identify ways to optimize website pages and related content to improve organic traffic, engagement and conversion
  • Develop or edit and optimize web copy to align with best practices including SEO
  • Assist the content team in whatever ways needed to support a strong content function
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Fast learner, able to understand new and changing technologies and processes
  • Flexible and able to shift strategies and tactics when required
  • Tremendous attention to detail and accuracy when performing tasks
  • Strong teamwork skills - the ability to coordinate with multiple teams is essential
  • A finisher with high level of personal ownership of team performance
  • Knowledge of a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts
  • Excellent communicator with strong technical aptitude, including excellent writing and editing/proofreading skills, including experience following style or brand guidelines
  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • None

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required with concentration in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • Experience in banking, financial services or other highly regulated industry preferred

Computer and Software Skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Google Workspace/G Suite
  • Content management system(s)
