Job Description

As a Scrum Master II, you'll be the driving force behind a high-performing, cross-functional agile team.Embracing the principles of the Scrum framework and a servant leadership mindset, you'll empower your team to deliver value by clearing roadblocks and fostering continuous improvement. You'll lead essential Scrum ceremonies-daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives-guiding moderate to complex projects from vision to reality. Your leadership ensures collaboration thrives, progress stays on track, and innovation never stalls.

This position is available onsite at our Glenmont, NY, Springfield, MO or Omaha, NE location.

What You'll Do:

  • Leads the scrum team to improve collaboration and self-management by modeling and educating the team on agile principles and values. Also, leads by adhering to the agile framework and organizes sprint ceremonies including daily standups, story refinement, sprint retrospectives, etc.
  • Creates transparency and collaboration by assisting teams in organizing their work, backlog, and metrics, reinforcing the expectation for self-management and product ownership.
  • Sets the precedence for positive team dynamics by leading internal team communications, problem solving, and relationship building.
  • Reviews team feedback and performance metrics to identify areas of opportunity and works with the team to continuously improve. Also, uses metrics to communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Reviews deliverables for accuracy and quality, analyzing areas for refinement.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Anticipates client needs and develops potential solutions; adapts quickly to business changes.
  • Represents the team at broader planning and coordination sessions (e.g., Scrum of Scrums).
  • Supports the team in using agile planning and development tools (Azure DevOps).
  • Contributes to the advancement and improvement of agile practices within the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Two to four years of Agile experience.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable in concepts of continuous integration and test-driven development (TDD).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (kanban, scrum, etc.).
  • Proven track record for successfully leading projects with varying degrees of complexity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, even for complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience facilitating, training teams, and enabling enterprise-wide agile transformation.
  • CSM or PSM II, or SAFe Scrum Master certification.
  • Expertise utilizing Azure DevOps or Jira to manage projects.
  • Experience in financial services and/or insurance industries.

The base salary range provided below is for hires in those geographic areas only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.

  • Glenmont, NY, Springfield, MO and Omaha, NE - $80,000.00 - $121,000.00
