In the community, TDOC supervises 79,000 offenders on probation, parole, or community corrections. The department operates 44 probation/parole offices in 13 districts across the state. Job Overview: The CSIC Director oversees all operations of the Safety Intelligence Center, ensuring strategic integration of advanced technologies and intelligence-driven processes to enhance institutional and community safety. This role provides leadership, vision, and operational oversight for intelligence coordination, incident response, and proactive safety measures. Key Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of experience as a police officer, correction officer, or probation/parole officer with at least one (1) year in a command level leadership capacity. Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with ten (10) years of experience as a police officer, correction officer, or probation/parole officer with five (5) years in a command level leadership capacity OR A graduate degree, completion of a recognized law enforcement training program (i.e. TLETA, POST, TBI) and experience performing or instructing in criminal investigation work in a government setting, law enforcement, professional criminal law, and/or similar related field with at least one (1) year leading operations of a real time crime center is preferred.
