Job Summary

The Checker/Loader is an entry-level role within the distribution department responsible for supporting front-line distribution operations. This position focuses on accurately checking, loading, and organizing products for delivery routes while ensuring efficiency and compliance with food safety and quality standards. The Checker/Loader plays a critical role in maintaining order accuracy and ensuring products are handled and distributed according to established procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Accurately check products against order requirements before loading
• Load and unload delivery trucks in a safe and efficient manner
• Organize and stack products to ensure stability and proper handling
• Fill and verify orders using pick-to-light systems or voice-activated equipment
• Ensure correct routing and timely distribution of products
• Follow all food safety and food quality procedures and guidelines
• Identify, report, and help prevent food safety or quality issues
• Comply with SQF standards and support third-party audit requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Job Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as stacking, carrying, pushing, and pulling products
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in checking and loading orders
• Ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines
• Basic warehouse or distribution experience preferred
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
