General Purpose of the Job

The Sr. Analyst, Collections will lead complex financial analyses, solve workflow bottlenecks, and drive process improvements within the Revenue Operations (ROPS) cycle . This role is a key player in enhancing business outcomes for operational teams by turning large datasets into actionable insights to maximize reimbursement and reduce the cost to collect .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analysis & Technical Skills (40%):

    • Perform complex root cause analysis on large datasets to identify denial patterns and revenue leakage .

    • Partner with leaders to develop and implement Workflow solutions and automated reporting for key business drivers .

    • Utilize analytical tools such as SQL and Excel to assess the financial impact of various collection efforts .

  • Process Improvement & Problem Solving (35%):

    • Break down complex collection problems into digestible components and develop robust solutions .

    • Identify and facilitate strategic process improvements to move ROPS to "World Class" standards .

    • Challenge the status quo to identify transformative changes in how denials and short-pays are handled .

  • Project & Stakeholder Management (20%):

    • Influence results through clear oral and written communication of complex concepts to senior leadership .

    • Interface with external vendors and insurance companies to resolve payment disputes and optimization gaps .

    • Create and maintain project plans, ensuring updates are provided to stakeholders regularly .

  • Other Duties (5%): Champion DaVita's Mission and Values and participate in team development activities .

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (STEM, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Business) .

  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in healthcare analytics or revenue cycle management .

  • Technical Skills:

    • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel .

    • Strong expertise in Tableau dashboard development .

    • Experience with Python or VBA for data manipulation is highly preferred .

  • Competencies:

    • Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and draw data-driven conclusions .

    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization .

The Salary Range for the role is $78,000.00 - $115,000.00/year. If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position. New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour, Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour Washington Exempt: $80,168.40/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $19.13/hour, Burien: $21.63/hour, Everette: $20.77/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.82/hour, Renton: $21.57/hour, Seattle: $21.30/hour, Tukwila: $21.65/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $17.13/hour
