The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University Graduate Education Programs is looking for an Adjunct Instructor with expertise in research analysis to support coursework within our Ed.D. program. In this hybrid doctoral program, courses are both asynchronous and synchronous. There are four synchronous sessions each month per term with asynchronous weeks in between. There is required attendance at our in-person Doctoral residency on campus in Manchester, NH. For 2026, these dates are July 27th -31st. You will report to our Assistant Dean of Graduate Education Programs.

EDGR934: Research Analysis

Instruction during synchronous sessions emphasizes the development of advanced research analysis skills and their application to leadership practice and organizational improvement.

Key learning outcomes of include:

  • Broaden understanding of different approaches to analyzing research, including how methodological differences influence the generation and interpretation of knowledge.
  • Develop knowledge and skills related to the use of research analysis for leadership and organizational development.
  • Apply research analysis strategies, tools, and techniques to strengthen one's capacity as a scholar-practitioner and to conduct original research analysis.

What you'll do:

  • Teach courses as scheduled. This includes monthly synchronous sessions and virtual one-on-one meetings with students
  • Create assignments and activities for students to complete during asynchronous learning between monthly doctoral weekends.
  • Assess student work and provide constructive feedback
  • Answer student emails promptly (within 24-48 hours)
  • Deliver a student-centered approach to instruction and a commitment to developing scholar-practitioners
  • Use the program's Learning Management System (LMS) to facilitate instruction and communication through content-rich modules and regular announcement postings.
  • Submit reports and documentation to program administration.

What we're looking for:

  • Experienced in qualitative and quantitative research methods, design, and analysis, including knowledge of constructing a literature review and synthesis
  • Terminal degree in education or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate learning with graduate-level students
  • Professional or leadership experience in educational or organizational settings
  • Ability to support the development of scholar-practitioners through applied learning and reflective practice

The compensation range displayed below reflects the standard adjunct pay scale. Compensation for this doctoral-level position is $4,200 per three-credit course assignment, subject to enrollment and course arrangement.

Compensation

The standard compensation for courses is $2,800 - $3,400 per 16-week undergraduate or graduate course. Actual pay is determined at the time of course assignment based on discipline.
