ROLE SUMMARY:
Quanterix is seeking an experienced and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our Accelerator Lab team located in Bedford, MA. The successful candidate will be a member of a dynamic team that provides laboratory services to clients. Quanterix provides tissue analysis based on our ultra-high multiplexed approach utilizing Akoya's OPAL technology to provide unparalleled tissue imaging capabilities. The Advanced Biopharma Services team is in the accelerator laboratory and focused on assay development, optimization, and standardization, on sectioning, staining, imaging and quantitative analysis of tissue sections.
The successful candidate will be experienced in laboratory sample management workflows, analysis of FFPE tissue, and follow standard laboratory procedures. The candidate will have worked with LIMS systems and have experience working in a regulated laboratory setting such as a CAP/CLIA or ISO certified institution. Knowledge of antibody validation methods, immunofluorescence (IF) and quantitative pathology approaches are a plus but not required.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:


  • Qualitative and quantitative QC of staining using viewing and analysis software and procedures.
  • General laboratory maintenance including maintenance of laboratory equipment, managing inventory and reagent preparation and documentation thereof.
  • Sample accessioning tracking, inventory, and documentation of experimental testing in LIMS.
  • Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (IF) staining of FFPE tissue sections.
  • Imaging of IHC and IF stained slides.
  • Performs QC testing of reagents and materials.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality according to HIPPA rules and regulations.
  • Performs all assigned training, proficiency, and competency assessments.
  • Follows all applicable laboratory SOPs.
  • Follows all safety precautions when using chemicals and reagents demonstrating knowledge of OSHA standards and in accordance with BSL2 laboratory safety standards.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


  • BS/BA degree in Life Science with 3 years of experience in laboratory or pathology environment.
  • Experience with immunohistochemistry staining and imaging.
  • Experience with quality control/quality assurance procedures.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with IF staining and imaging
  • Experience with image analysis software
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft suite
  • Experience with LIMS
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage workflows.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and work independently under pressure of deadlines and the desire to work in a fast paced, team environment.
  • Passion for digital pathology and personalized medicine.
