Your Opportunity

TechSource is hiring a full-time Program Analyst to support the Office of Plutonium Production Modernization (NA-191) Front Office and its plutonium pit production mission with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of Defense Programs (DP) Office of Production Modernization and Materials Management. You will manage a range of duties in support of the Assistant Deputy Administrator (ADA) for Pit Production Modernization and other Federal and contractor staff as assigned.

You will work onsite daily at the DOE Headquarters Forrestal Building, located in Washington, DC. After training, employees can anticipate working a hybrid schedule, up to 2 days telework per week as the workload allows.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Manage an exciting and diverse portfolio - you will directly support the NA-191 front office team with day-to-day activities including taskers management, correspondence, complex scheduling, and other items requested.
  • Coordinate electronic and printed read ahead materials for the Assistant Deputy Administrator and Deputy Assistant Deputy Administrator.
  • Provide complex program and policy analysis and advice to the Assistant Deputy Administrator to support advancement of NNSA pit production goals.
  • Attend meetings, review documents on cross programmatic topics with NA-191 equities and advise the NA-191 leadership on key programmatic items of interest.
  • Interface with other DP and NNSA offices including the NA-19 Front Office, Deputy Administrator's Action Group, NA-11, NA-12, NA-18 and Congressional Affairs.
  • Draft documents and presentations that accurately and thoroughly convey complex program and technical issues for decision makers.
  • Drive process improvements and innovation. Create plans and processes required to meet front office deliverables.
  • Maintain expertise on relevant management tools and technologies and provide inputs to various deliverables.
  • Some travel will be required (20% or less).
  • Active DOE Q security clearance, or clearance application under review.
  • Master's degree in policy, political science, engineering, or related field.
  • 1 or more years of DOE/NNSA program management work experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite at the Forrestal Building every week.
