Overview

The Garnishment & Levies Specialist will be responsible for the administering and processing of garnishments, levies, and child support inquiries for Renasant Bank. This position will provide backup relief to the Research area when necessary and will participate in a varied range of special projects, including conversion initiatives and other Deposit Operations projects.

Responsibilities

    Process garnishments, levies, and child support inquiries for Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida
  • Prepare timely responses for all requests, which include placing holds on accounts when required
  • Process turnover orders, levy payments, and the releasing of holds on accounts once the debit has posted on a timely basis
  • File, maintain, and archive all garnishment and levy documentation
  • Assist in replies to internal/external audits
  • Log all garnishments and levies on the Levenger software and update when necessary
  • Respond to garnishment and levy client inquiries
  • Reply back to the court/government agency requests on a timely basis and provide the information that satisfies the requests
  • Oversee that Renasant Bank is in compliance with any changes/updates due to governmental regulations
  • Communicate with Renasant Bank's Legal Counsel for any clarifications to legal questions as they occur
  • Provide backup to the Research area, when necessary, assisting in completing research requests and VODs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of job related experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of banking experience preferred
  • Knowledge of bank operations
  • Diplomacy in dealing with clients who have questions regarding garnishments and levies and their account(s)
  • Good grammar (verbal and written) and communications skills to be used in communicating with clients
  • Good work processing skills including letter writing techniques and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to cross train and learn other responsibilities as required
  • Good keyboard skills
  • High energy and self-motivated
  • Good organization and record keeping skills
