Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11201

Duration: 3+ Months

Shift Schedule: 8 AM - 4 PM, Daily (M-F)

Pay rate: $21.00/Hr. on W2.

Job Description:

  • Responds to calls and inquiries from families reaching out to FWCs for support by setting up appointments and/or completing requests for assistance, including follow-up and documenting in FWC systems.
  • Under the direction of FWC Supervisors, assists with placing students on register at schools.
  • Assists with targeted robocalls to help increase enrollment and provide resources to families about public schools.
  • Assists with collecting family contact information and determining best ways to reach them, home languages, etc.
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community-centered activities in an area related to the duties described above.
  • High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community-centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
  • Willingness to travel to various Family Welcome Center sites, as needed.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Office 365 applications, Teams).
