Under the direction of the High Level Disinfection Program Manager, the High Level Disinfection Coordinator will be responsible for management of specialized software that stores and organizes data.

The High Level Disinfection Coordinator is responsible for tasks such as creating and processing compliance reports, equipment maintenance reports, maintenance of data, preparation of reports, analysis of clinical data, and for assisting with database related in-service programs related to high level disinfection.

The High Level Disinfection Coordinator will also assist in assuring all areas of High Level Disinfection operations are performing best practices and are compliant with all standards and regulatory requirements across VCU Health System by performing database and log audits reporting results to the High Level Disinfection Program Manager who, in partnership with Infection Control, will analyze audit results and makes changes to program in accordance to evidenced based guidelines and manufacturer's instructions. Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:
Certification Board for scope processing (CBSPD), or equivalent

Experience REQUIRED:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Sterile Processing, OR, or GI which includes flexible endoscope reprocessing.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience with data collection, validation and analysis
Excellent analytical and communication skills

Education/training REQUIRED:
High School Diploma/GED required
Education/training PREFERRED:
BS/BA in health care related field.
Independent action(s) required:
Required a high degree of self-direction and ability to structure and complete task independently.
Strong problem solving skills.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must be able to lead projects and conduct audits.
Position requires direct communication and relationship building with all levels of employees of education to ensure compliance.
