Scale House Attendant (Frederickson, WA)

Pioneer Recycling, a Waste Connections Company, seeks a dedicated Scale House Attendant to join our team!

Location: Frederickson, WA

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (30-minute break)

Compensation: $20.00 to $22.00/hour + $1.00/hour for Spanish-speaking candidates

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Excel spreadsheets to track and analyze recycling data
• Utilize Scale-It Software, transitioning to Wasteworks in January
• Assist with invoicing and administrative tasks
• Provide exceptional customer service to drivers during weigh-ins
• Conduct scale house duties, ensuring accurate measurements and compliance with regulations

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of administrative experience
• Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment typical of a recycling sorting center
• Attention to detail for accurate data entry and measurements
• Ability to multitask and handle high-volume traffic
• Strong communication skills for interacting with drivers and team members
• Basic math skills for calculating weights and measurements
• Preferred: Proficiency in Spanish
• Safety Sensitive: No
