Job description
Job Title: Business Analyst Job Location: Must live in Florida, and be willing to be on-site as needed Job Duration: 4 Month Contract, May - August Job Tasks and Activities:
- Assists in developing specifications as well as overall planning and management of projects.
- Meets with leadership to provide status reports on a weekly basis and provides monthly written reports which will include accomplishments, areas of concern, and recommended solutions.
- Communicate project progress and information to team, sponsor, stakeholders, leadership and legislative body as appropriate.
- Ensures technical direction and standards are being followed.
- Assures that project documentation included the project plans, budget, risk plans, communication plans, change controls logs and reports.
- Demonstrates an understanding of tactical goals and effectively participates in the development and implementation of business solutions.
- Manages project risk through comprehensive mitigation assessment and planning techniques.
- Manages change control within the projects.
- Obtains sponsor approval for changes to scope, budget, and schedule that affect the critical path.
- Written documentation showing testing and verification of modifications to ensure that objectives are met.
- Creates or uses data or verification reports for continuous and ongoing review and monitoring.
- Develops, validates and manages high level and detailed requirements as communicated during the engagement.
- Supports testing and quality assurance through development or usage of test scenarios, user stories and scripts.
- Assists with functional testing, user acceptance testing, validating system outputs against requirements and tracking defects to ensure resolution.
- Coordinates and collaborates with technical team members to complete tasks or deliverables.
Required Experience:
- Experience scheduling technical integrations involving multiple resource teams
- Experience organizing and facilitating training and/or technical presentations
- Experience facilitating business and technical analysis, design, and planning meetings
- Experience developing queries, extracting data and completing statistical analysis of the data generated
- Experience communicating with end users and providing technical and customer support
- 5+ Experience producing technical documentation related to requirements, specifications, design, process and data flow, testing, and training
- 5+ Years of experience with data consolidation, editing, and normalizing rules
- Understanding of State of Florida rules and regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint
- Technical knowledge of web, network infrastructure, network communication, and security preferred
- Technical knowledge or experience in data processing and data analysis.
